When your goals change. When your time frames change. When your ‘heart’ changes.
These are good reasons to consider changing your investment strategy.
When the news is upsetting. When another gold commercial is on the TV. When viruses strike. These are poor reasons for changing your investment strategy.
Properly designed, an investment strategy should speak specifically to your goals, your timeframes, and your peace of mind. Tactical changes can certainly be made along the way, but your overall strategy should stay consistent with you and your needs. If your strategy is frequently changing it is not likely in your best interests.
