What? No Glowing Testimonials? Here’s the Scoop!
We know. We know. You’re anxious to check out our client testimonials. And we’d love to share them with you. But we can’t. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, our industry’s regulatory agency, has determined that professional financial advisors in good legal standing are not permitted to offer testimonials to prospective clients. This is probably to protect consumers from concluding—based on a few testimonials—that an advisor provides superior service when those few positive reviews could be masking hundreds of mistreated customers. With that in mind, it’s easy to understand this rule.
A side note: A “financial advisor” offering testimonials is a huge red flag.
